10. Any dog pooh collected on the walks, will be double bagged and left in or beside your outdoor garbage can. We will supply our own pooh bags.
*REQUIREMENT*
Proof of rabies. All dogs must be trained to walk on the left side or directly in front of or in back of the handler. We do not do full leash training. If your dog is not used to walking, please train before hiring us. If a dog remarkably pulls on leash, we will ask that you correct that behavior before we return for another walk or switch to a more appropriate harness. Some barking while walking is okay as long as it can be curbed by verbal command/clicker or whatever you usually use. We will not walk a dog on a choker chain collar or with a muzzle.
Agility Lesson ~
$40
1. Prices are per 25 min lesson, paid at the end of lesson. You may split the time 2 dogs. More than 2 dogs, requires extended time.
We can give you a quote when you call to book.
2. Lessons are approx 25 min once we are set up and ready to train.
3. Our set up time is usually only about 5 minutes and not part of your lesson time.
4. 25 min is plenty for any level of agility. We will learn your pups stamina and ability to focus in the first lesson. If your pup needs a break, we will redirect to more sitting tricks (shake/paw, down) for a few minutes then try the agility props again.
5. We specialize in the absolute beginner level pup.
6. Beginner level pups will be on a lightly held leash. It takes a little while for most pups to learn the prop and verbal command. We leash to offer them guidance.
7. We start with 2-3 props and add on over time.
8. All props are portable, PVC type material and good for most sized dogs. Very large breeds likely require us to bring heavier props or higher jumps. We can give you recommendations for large breeds but we do not have large portable props.
9. Our props include: jumps, hoop, tunnel, weave posts, cones.
Other Agility Info
We will do agility when the temp is 45-80 degrees. A meet n' greet is not necessary. NO EXPERIENCE IS NECCESSARY. We assume your pup has never done agility before. It's fun! Weave posts require grass or thick soft dirt as they have a small spike on them. We use small training treats as reward- chicken/turkey- included in the price of the lesson. Older dogs CAN do small scale agility. As long as they don't have significant joint issues/pain, they should be fine. If at anytime our trainer deems that agility isn't a good fit we will let you know.
BOOKING
You may add agility on to a drop-in visit or stand alone service. Booking 2 or more services will extend our stay (not over lap time). Example: You book a drop-in + agility, our time with your pup will be 50-55 min. That includes the 30 min drop-in + 20 min lesson. We do not recommend that you book a walk + agility on the same visit.
*REQUIREMENT*
Proof of rabies. Dogs must somewhat know "sit" and "stay" while on a leash but it doesn't have to be perfect.
